A major event in 2014 was the bar for Woody Mann, guitarist extraordinaire and all round good bloke. I used the Watney Mann India Pale Ale Logo to create a 'Woody Mann India Pale Ale', and even featured what was potentially the death knell of the British Brewing Industry .. the Watneys Red Barrel image! .. Woody was thrilled and I was thrilled that Woody was thrilled etc etc et al. And if there is any doubt that Woody ranks amongst the Worlds greatest Guitarists ..
A fitting tribute to Britain's favourite radio personality, a steam train of the same name
If you find yourself in or around Bury St Edmunds and wondered how to pass some time listening to live music, you couldn't go wrong at the Hunter Club catering for all tastes ..

FolkEast A new opening for Bartrams Brewery was involvement with the organisers of Folkeast, this is held in the Grounds of Glemham Hall, the Country Seat of Philip Hope Cobbold of the brewing family of the same name. With the help of a Cobbold archivist I was able to work on a 1950's recipe using East Anglian Malt and Goldings and Fuggles hops to reproduce a traditional bitter ale (press release). This beer is available not only at the Festival itself but at local pubs, most notably the Blaxhall 'Ship' and the Sweffling 'White Horse'

Thy Last Drop
One night I was busking in a local pub and was followed by a band called 'Thy Last Drop' .. I approached them afterwards and said "Thank &%$£ you followed me and not the other way round! .. we have subsequently become good chums and done a number of events together .. and I now brew a London Porter named after the band .. called 'Thy Last Drop' (in case you were not paying attention) .. you can follow them on They played at a brewery event and here is a sample
Early 2014 Thy Last Drop hired the Bressingham Steam Museum, near Diss, for a private gig and we enjoyed it so much we are going to repeat it on the 11th/12th April 2015. Here is the video put together by Elly Bingham, come and join us so that you can feature in the next video!

Action for Brazil's Children
We here at Bartrams Brewery are nothing if not ahead of the field when it comes to trend setting rocking teenage combos, here is Eric Clapton, principle trombonist with 'Girls Allowed' ... okay, okay ... we got involved with doing bars for the Action for Brazil's Children charity, (A.B.C.) set up by Jimena Page, wife of Sir Jimmy Page. I had the good fortune to shake the hand that created some of the greatest riffs in Rock history Led Zeppelin
Luke, (son, a.k.a. trainee brewer) is the one with the hair, Dan, a friend, has less ... Jimmy is the one in the middle, I am holding the camera.
